Skanska Property Poland has begun construction of its new office investment in Wroclaw. The Green 2Day office building will be developed in the city center, at 11 Szczytnicka Street, and will offer its tenants approx. 17 000 sqm of modern office space. Its completion is scheduled for Q4 2017.

The office building will comprise seven floors above ground and two below with 231 parking places available for tenants. Its name, Green 2Day, refers to the neighboring Green Day office building located at 9 Szczytnicka Street.

“Green 2Day is a continuation of our presence in Wroclaw, a city which has always been very important for us. This is illustrated by the fact that we have developed more office projects here than in any other regional market in Poland. The business success of our previous investments proves that the city is a very attractive location on the Polish office real estate map. In 2015 alone, office space take-up in Wroclaw reached a record-breaking 95 000 sqm  and the city will likely maintain this pace in the foreseeable future. The dynamic development of local infrastructure, excellent geographical location as well as the expansion of companies from the business services sector enable us to operate on the market and develop further projects”, says Mariusz Krzak, Regional Director at Skanska Property Poland.

The office building will be located in close proximity to one of the most important communication arteries in Wroclaw. Green2Day has been designed with the intention of being LEED Gold certified. It will be developed in accordance with the principles of sustainable building. Green solutions applied within Green 2Day will provide 25% lower energy consumption and 45% lower water consumption when compared to local norms. Furthermore, tenants will have the opportunity to enjoy the city's modern bicycle infrastructure – a network of bicycle routes around the building as well as locker rooms with shower cubicles.

“The Green 2Day building will provide high class office space and services. It will be another step for the revitalization of Szczytnicka Street. The building would create a consistent complex with Green Day office building, it also sets the urban situation and fulfills the development of a pedestrian route, a natural extension of Mikołaja Sępa Starzyńskiego Street linking Park Tołpy with the Odra river wharf”, says Zbigniew Maćków from Maćków Pracownia Projektowa sp. z o.o., responsible for the architectural design of the project. The architecture and functionality of Green 2Day will reflect the neighboring Green Day office building. The first building was commissioned for use in 2014 and instantly became a landmark on the city map. As a result of its elegant architecture, convenient location and green solutions, Green Day was awarded numerous building and architectural awards.

The general contractor of Green 2Day project is Skanska S.A. The architectural design was prepared Maćków Pracownia Projektowa Sp. z o.o. Skanska Property Poland is responsible for the building’s commercialization.
