IMMOFINANZ Group announced sale of the Silesia City Center in Katowice.
IMMOFINANZ acquired the Silesia City Center seven years ago, in 2006. Following the decision to expand the facility, at the end of 2011 IMMOFINANZ re-opened the mall with an extension. The mall has approx. 89,000 sqm of selling space and nearly 340 shops, which makes it a market leader in Silesia.
The Silesia City Center will be purchased by an international investor consortium led by Allianz. Silesian mall will be sold for 412 mln euro, which is above it’s respective carrying amount. The contract was signed yesterday, on May 27, 2013. The document contains conditions like approval by the Polish competitions authorities. The transaction will be finalized in September 2013.
