Metropolitan office building in Warsaw has received “Very Good” rating in BREEAM sustainability certification system. Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield supported the owner Aberdeen Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH in the certification process.

Constructed in 2003 according to Sir Norman Foster’s design, Metropolitan is located on Piłsudskiego Square in Warsaw. It has received a number of prestigious awards (the MIPIM Award 2004 in the Business Center category, RIBA Worldwide Award). The scheme was developed by Hines. Metropolitan provides 38,000 sq m of leasable area. Cushman & Wakefield has been the building’s property and asset manager since 2006.

“Already at the moment of its opening ten years ago, Metropolitan boasted some innovative ecological solutions. Following the necessary improvements according to the requirements of the certifier entity, the building joined the group of green buildings”, said Aneta Rogowicz-Gała, Head of Property & Asset Management Department at Cushman & Wakefield.
