On 10 October, TRI Poland, a company with Japanese capital, opened a car-parts plant in Zagórz subzone of the EURO - PARK Mielec SEZ. This is TRI’s second production centre in Poland. Initially, at least 80 new employees will work in a new .

The newest TRI Poland plant will produce rubber and rubber-metal anti-vibration components and sound-proof elements for the automotive industry. Until now, TRI Poland had only one factory in the country, established in 2000 in Wolbrom, Małopolska province. Developing a new, PLN 36-million-worth investment in Zagórz is a next step in the company's expansion into the European market.

TRI Poland is a part of the TOKAI RUBBER INDUSTRIES - a global manufacturer of automotive components from Japan which employs more than 10,000 employees. Except the two investments in Poland, the consortium has nearly 20 manufacturing centres around the world: in China, Thailand, South Korea, India, US, Mexico, and in the motherland - Japan.

The official opening ceremony of the producing centre in Zagórz gathered the representatives of TRI Poland, TOKAI RUBBER INDUSTRIES, and the Embassy of Japan, as well as PAIiIZ president Sławomir Majman, local authorities and the media.

Currently, there are 85 production companies with Japanese capital in Poland.
