The construction of one of the largest and most awaited skyscrapers in Warsaw is to commence soon. Mennica Legacy Tower – a joint investment by Golub GetHouse and Mennica Polska S.A. – comprising a 130-meter high tower and an adjacent 36-meter building, will be located on the junction of Prosta and Żelazna streets. The complex will provide nearly 65,000 sqm of state-of-the art office space.

The two building office complex will be built on site of the former Mennica Polska (Mint of Poland) headquarters, 250 meters from the "Rondo ONZ" station of the 2nd subway line, also near bus and tramway stops. The space available in the 32-floor tower contains 49,600 sqm, while the second, 9-floor building provides additional 14,200 sqm.

The elegant shape of the Mennica Legacy Tower was designed by the renowned Chicago-based architectural firm Goettsch Partners. Subtle curvatures, division of the façade and floor-to-ceiling 13-meter tall glass lobby will render the buildings light and dynamic, making them a distinctive feature of the modern skyline of the Wola district.

”Mennica Legacy Tower is an investment based on partnership, tradition, long-standing experience and respect for the new generations of users. These are guaranteed by the people behind it – experienced entrepreneurs, developers and architects. Together we make an efficient team with a shared vision to build a modern, architecturally beautiful building of top quality and functionality to the tenants,” said Czarek Jarząbek, Co-owner and President of Management Board at Golub GetHouse. “I am sure that Mennica Legacy Tower will become one of the most important spots on the business map of this city,” added Jarząbek.

“The fresh and bold thinking about the needs of tomorrow in conjunction with respect for the legacy of past generations which contributed to the image of the city is, in my opinion, the strongest foundation of the Mennica Legacy Tower project. As a co-initiator of this investment, I can safely say that Mennica Polska understands the essence of legacy and the need to respect tradition better than most companies. In operation for nearly 250 years, we are inextricably connected to the systemic, economic and social changes that have taken place in Poland. Years of experience and the intellectual capital that our company can tap into, allow us to set trends in new areas of activity. Real property is to us today one of the most promising areas, in which we see the future development of Mennica Polska,” said Zbigniew Jakubas, the Majority Shareholder of Mennica Polska S.A.

In addition to its strategic location, Mennica Legacy Tower will be a class A+ office tower characterized by extraordinary architecture, functionality, sophisticated technological solutions and quality materials. Owing to the outstanding flexibility of space layout, offices at the Mennica Legacy Tower will satisfy all standards in terms of use ergonomics. The complex will be constructed with energy-saving, eco-friendly solutions in line with the BREEAM "Excellent" certification standards.
Interconnecting the Mennica Legacy Tower buildings, there will be a plaza with a total area of 4,750 sqm, accessible to the public and featuring distinctive landscape architecture. This plaza creates a dynamic public space while linking the two buildings. The plaza will also feature a restaurant and café at the street level, complementing the 4,500 sqm of retail and service area in the two buildings, including fitness center and conference center.

The tenants at Mennica Legacy Tower will also have a 4-level underground parking for 620 vehicles and space for 300 bicycles. The general contractor for this investment will be chosen in Q3 of 2015 with construction to commence between Q4 2015 and Q1 2016. The building is scheduled to be opened for tenant activity in 2018.
