The construction works on a BTS facility within Segro Logistics Park Warsaw, Nadarzyn were launched at the beginning of March. Nearly 5 000 sq m of space will be dedicated to warehouse with an office and social unit of Rhenus Data Office Polska specialising in records management, document and media storage, as well as secure document media shredding and destruction.

We have entered into a long-term agreement with Segro because of the convenient location of the new warehousing project, as well as its experience in the area of BTS facilities. As our storage business is rather uncommon, the facility should meet specific requirements, for instance, ensure a maximum fire load in excess of 4000 MJ/sq m. The meeting of this condition is mandatory for the proper and fully compliant operation of the storage. The new location, which is our sixth facility in Poland, will also become the hub of all our operational activities for comprehensive document management, including BPO. The start of the lease will practically coincide with the commissioning of the Paszków junction in August 2015, which will significantly enhance travel in the area and facilitate customer service,” says Krzysztof Choma, Chief Executive at Rhenus Data Office Polska.

“Last year proved that the Warsaw’s region, especially the second zone, inidcates high potential for further development. Undoubtedly, the improving road infrastructure, especially the S2  bypass and A2 motorway has increased  the attractiveness of the southern part of Warsaw. Therefore, we expect further interest in our parks in this part of the zone, including. Segro Logistics Park Warsaw, Nadarzyn, where the building for Rhenus which is under construction.. Eventually, we plan to expand this facility by a further 10 000 sq m for new customers," adds Magdalena Szulc, Segro Business Unit Director  Central Europe.

Segro Logistics Park Warsaw, Nadarzyn is a modern logictics centre, situated only 5 km from Warsaw and the Okęcie airport, within the Nadarzyn municipality, next to S8 expressway (Białystok – Warsaw – Wrocław) and 4 km from S7 expressway (Gdańsk – Warsaw – Kraków).
